Sharmane Hawkins, (she/her), BS

Student Counselor

Hi there! I am passionate about helping individuals to achieve their goals and improve their
overall well-being. I understand that seeking support can be difficult, but it can also lead to a
more fulfilling life. In our counseling sessions, I will create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. All ages, lifestyles, sexual orientations, individuals, couples, and groups are welcome.

Through a combination of talk therapy and
creative techniques, such as role-playing and empty-chair dialogues, I will help you gain insights
into your patterns of thought and behavior. With this newfound understanding, we can develop
healthier coping strategies and make positive changes in your life.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or other life challenges,
I am here to support you. Let’s work together to help you reach your goals and improve your
overall well-being. I invite you to schedule a session with me and take the first step towards a
more productive and fruitful outlook.

I strive to provide a safe and positive healing environment, my goal is to help guide my clients through unpacking their emotions and experiences. My training has been through a Person Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT) lens. I would be honored that you are considering me as support in helping you along your journey.

Do you feel overwhelmed and unable to enjoy day to day life? Do you ever feel like you don’t fit in or you’re the only one who feels this way? I am here to help.

I specialize in anxiety + adjustment and gladly work with all ages. The majority of my work now is done with young adults and members of the LGBTQI+ community though all motivated individuals are welcome. I have 10 years experience working with severe mental illness and have worked with a number of symptoms/disorders. I will never say I have seen it all, but I’ve seen a lot. I am not here to judge you. I am here to support you, period.

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist that utilizes a combination of theories and techniques including, but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, Expressive Arts, and Person Centered Therapy. These theories allow us to focus on the issues at hand and collaboratively resolve them through talk therapy. Additionally, I utilize Brainspotting therapy (BSP) to target Trauma and distressing symptoms. If you would like to know more about me or what our work may look like together, let’s set up a time to chat.
